Elizabeth Forrest
Executive Producer
Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at just 10 years old, Elizabeth Forrest didn’t let her diagnosis define her—she let it drive her. What began as a small backyard performance to raise awareness became Touched by Type 1, a nationally recognized nonprofit that empowers thousands of individuals each year. Under Elizabeth’s leadership, the organization offers year-round programs at no cost, including educational outreach, community events, and the beloved Dancing for Diabetes show. Her story is not only central to the film—it’s the foundation of a movement that brings strength, joy, and resilience to everyone touched by type 1 diabetes.
